Ugh... Bad, really bad. That's what I have to say about Star Trek Generations. This game is nothing like the movie - which I didn't care for much either. I was excited when I bought it, since The Next Generation is my favorite Star Trek series. But this game lacks almost everything a player could want. It could rank among the worst Star Trek games ever made. No, wait - Starfleet Academy still holds that title.

The Story

You try to stop Soran. That's it. Really. Don't believe me? It's true.

Graphics

Ugly, choppy, and blurry. That sums it up. The levels are bland. Even though the worlds are 3D, most objects are 2D. Walk up to a tree and it rotates to face you. The ship battle system is the only redeeming visual - ships are nicely designed.

Music/Sound

There's barely any music or sound, and what's there is awful. Turn the volume down for this one.

Video

Video? Ha! It's just a few still images. Definitely not full-motion video.

Challenge

Yikes! The game is extremely hard - mostly due to clumsy controls and vague missions. You're often left confused and frustrated.

Replay Value

Not much. There's nothing compelling to come back to. And honestly, why would you want to?

Overall

It might just be me, but I doubt it. The worlds are blurry, the missions unclear, and the music painful. I highly suggest you stay away from this game. It's nothing like the movie. But hey - it's your money.
