My Methodology

In Create Mission, I pitted each vessel against itself. Before battle, I gathered weapon information from the tactical view, warp and impulse data from the Science and Engineering Stations, and ship layout from exterior views (F2, using "Page Up" for a close view and joystick movement to explore all angles).

During battle, I judged speed by how long it took to accelerate from a dead stop to full impulse. Shield strength was assessed based on initial and subsequent hits, as well as by observing shield damage on the tactical view while firing phasers or disruptors. Vulnerabilities and strengths were determined by comparing my ship against its twin and reviewing post-battle Engineering reports to see which systems were most damaged (when I wasn�t destroyed).

I tested each ship against itself twice, then against a Miranda-class vessel using the same criteria.
